Centre for Cities Report Launch

Get Glasgow Moving is delighted to be working with the well-respected economic think-thank – Centre for Cities – on a new report.

Miles better: Improving public transport in the Glasgow City Region will be launched at Glasgow City Chambers on Wednesday 25 October 2023, 5-7pm.

Andrew Carter, the Chief Executive of Centre for Cities will present the findings of their research, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Catriona Stewart of The Herald.

We are also holding a Parliamentary Briefing about the report on Wednesday 8 November 2023, 1-2pm in Committee Room 5 at the Scottish Parliament.

We are encouraging all MSPs in the Glasgow, West Scotland and Central Scotland Regions, and those on the Transport Committee to attend.

We are encouraging all Get Glasgow Moving members and supporters to write to your MSPs to ask them attend the Parliamentary Briefing – please read on if you can help.

Miles better: Improving public transport in the Glasgow City Region explores the benefits to the Scottish economy of improving public transport in our biggest city, by enhancing bus services and integrating all transport modes, and sets out a route-map for making this happen.
