On 9 December 2016, we launched Get Glasgow Moving’s first campaign manifesto with a Lobby at the SPT Offices on St. Vincent Street.
Our aim was to ensure that Glasgow’s public transport crisis was properly addressed by all political parties at the council elections on 4 May 2017.
In February 2017, we hand delivered campaign manifestos to all 79 Councillors at Glasgow City Chambers with a personalised note with each. SNP Councillor Eva Bolander tweeted her support:
@GetGlesgaMoving Yes, very supportive of your campaign! pic.twitter.com/5yO4N8J72y

When the SNP launched their election manifesto on 1 April 2017, the section on Transport & Travel used the identical peach colour to our own manifesto and included many of our campaign’s demands. They promised:
- A Transport for Glasgow body, to implement a new integrated transport strategy for the city
- A smart one-ticket system for use across all public transport
- Investigate local bus franchising to deliver a more comprehensive, accessible network for communities
