Check out our vision for Clyde Metro

Today we’re excited to be launching a new map bringing to life the developing plans for Clyde Metro, made in collaboration with Abraham Dein of Metro Map Design.

The Clyde Metro Future Map of Glasgow takes elements of SPT’s proposals released in spring 2025 (our favoured Option C, combined with bits from Option A) to present an inspiring vision for what our region’s new “fully-integrated mass transit public transport system” could look like.

Our aim is to push SPT to be as ambitious as possible when finalising their plans, and to recognise the urgent need to bring our region’s bus network back into public control (through ‘franchising’) as the first phase of Clyde Metro – for it will be impossible to deliver a fully-integrated network across all modes without this vital step.

Metro Map Design’s video below, filmed on location in Glasgow with the help of Get Glasgow Moving volunteers, introduces the map and sets out our vision for Clyde Metro.

A preview of the map is available to download here – or you can order print copies directly from Metro Map Design’s Etsy Shop, with a quarter of all profits going to Get Glasgow Moving.
