In April 2017, in the run-up to the Glasgow City Council elections on 4 May, we launched an online petition calling for ‘World-class transport for Glasgow’ with 38 Degrees.
The petition took off, gaining more than 3,000 signatures before the elections, forcing Glasgow’s public transport crisis onto all our politicians’ agendas.
It was later presented to Glasgow City Council on 11 May 2018 with 8,397 signatures, and presented to the Scottish Parliament on 3 October 2018 with 10,184 signatures, which enabled us to win amendments to the Transport Bill for publicly-owned buses.
